Our story

After years of living in Brooklyn, we found our way to the Catskills in search of a slower pace, a stronger sense of community, and a place where our family could put down roots. What we discovered was everything we hoped for and more. The mountains, the people, and the small-town spirit made us feel at home almost immediately.

We opened Folsom Point to create a welcoming gathering place for both locals and visitors alike. A place where neighbors can start their morning with a great cup of coffee, where hikers and travelers can enjoy a satisfying lunch, and where friends and families can come together around thoughtfully prepared food.

Maria leads the kitchen, bringing a passion for quality ingredients, simple preparation, and food made with intention. Alex oversees the front of house, helping create the warm and welcoming atmosphere that has become a part of the Folsom Point experience. Together, they have built a business that reflects the values they care most about: community, hospitality, and genuine connection.

Like many family-run businesses, Folsom Point is truly a family effort. Their children, Mayden and Jaxx, can often be found lending a hand and growing alongside the business, helping create the welcoming spirit that makes the space feel like home.

Today, Folsom Point serves breakfast and lunch in the heart of Margaretville, offering house-made favorites, fresh ingredients, and a comfortable place to gather.
